It was for the best.
I’m going to have to tell myself that a lot for a while.

“You have a daughter. Does she know what you do?”
New goal: Become Andrew Lincoln.
It’s rare to see in bands the members themselves coming together after having success in solo groups. Normally the reverse is the norm. Members will go their separate ways, release a solo album or two, and be done with their musical careers. But Grizzly Bear, an indie band with more influences than fingers on your hands, goes against this norm with members that can tout, to the very least, successful solo ventures before creating the band in which they now reside. The result of this is a band in which each player has created their own specific sound before coming on, one might think this mixture of ideals and tenets of music would create clashes, but instead, the styles all blend beautifully to create distinct sounds. That’s not to say that the blend is so integrating that individual sounds can no longer be picked out. Chris Taylor’s (CANT) occasionally bizarre mixtures of heavy bass with an almost chant like background can be picked up on Alligator, Daniel Rossen (Department of Eagles) sends in his powerhouse guitar playing coupled with folk influences, most notable off of Yellow House. For Ed Droste, things are a bit more challenging, but if you look back at his compilations, you can’t but notice that soaring falsetto that makes Two Weeks iconic.
These fine boys all come together to create a band that is just as impressive as each of their solo ventures, if not more, solely for the fact that somehow, all of their individual styles blended together to create something truly shifting and unique. Something adaptive and fresh that comes to the playing field.
CANT.
You are British. You grew up in Leeds on Bismarck Drive, house number 12. You grew up in Leeds for 8 years before you moved to America. You’ve got a good American accent but you like to keep the British vibe because women like it. You head over to Leeds every summer. You like the country more than London. You think London is kind of a shit hole. Your mother is Italian and your father is British, you’re working on a getting Tri citizenship with Italy right now. Cameron is kind of a dick, you prefer Blair’s style.

And I’m talking to myself at night
Because I can’t forget
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette
And the message coming from my eyes
Says leave it alone

Rory has been becoming much more irrational and aggresively violent. Also, in the episode “Let’s Kill Hitler” after witnessing River’s regeneration and being exposed to RAW TIME ENERGY for the first time, he begins to complain of a “banging in my head”, which Amy dismisses as Hitler in the closet. Also think back to “The God Complex”. Rory did not have a room. He was the only character they made a point to say did not have one. And when the Doctor looked into his room all he said was “Of course it was you.” and we hear the wailing of the TARDIS distress call in 4 repetitions. The only other time it has made this sound was when The Master stole it in series 3
